Haberman Ilett is proud to have been ranked eighth in the GAR 100 Expert Witness Firms’ Power Index 2020. This ranking reinforces our position as one of the leading firms providing expert witness services in international arbitration, and we are proud to have retained our position in the top ten for the third time in as many years. GAR comment that “The practice is still clearly vibrant” and we are delighted that our firm has been recognised in this way.
Our standing reflects the reputation of our experts: all seven of our partners are recommended as global leaders in Who’s Who Legal Arbitration 2020, and our senior partners, Philip Haberman and Frank Ilett are recognised as Thought Leaders. This has not gone unnoticed with GAR commenting that “For example, Haberman Ilett is a far smaller organisation than [two of our competitors who are ranked in the top five] but has more individuals of stature per square metre, so to speak.”
Our ranking in the top ten is a testament to the quality of our people and their dedication to producing work of the excellent quality on which their reputations are founded. We believe that our size and the quality of our work have always been our key strengths. We combine the knowledge and experience we have gained from working in the Big Four and elsewhere, both in the UK and abroad, with the agility and focus that comes with being a smaller, specialist practice. This defines our company’s culture, which our people value and our clients respect, and allows more junior members of staff to learn directly from our established experts. We are delighted that individuals below partner level are also being recognised in the arbitration community, with a number being named as future leaders.
Since our merger with Blackrock Expert Services Group, our ability to assist clients has been enhanced, allowing them to benefit from the wider Group’s extensive construction, financial services and technology expertise. The accessibility of our services and the level of support that we can provide to our clients has also been benefitted by the Group’s global presence, with offices in Dubai, Paris and most recently Singapore, and its international pool of staff who speak over 17 languages.
